Snakestar dipped his head. "Very well."
He turned and started running out the camp entrance, claws unsheathing. Lionstar let out a yowl and followed, along with Goldenflight and Owlwing.

Ashstar watched them go, her tail sweeping. she soon trailed into the nursery to watch her three remaining kits.

Snakestar and the patrol padded into camp, their eyes bright.
Tigerkit followed, immediately hissing, "It is time for my siblings and I to be made apprentices."

Mossyfoot watched Tigerkit silently. Her back leg was wounded and her shoulder and back were cut badly, but she refused to go to the medicine den.

Willowshine appeared with herbs. She started to inspect the cats.
Lionstar looked at Snakestar. "I will do the ceremony."
Instead of waiting for the RiverClan leader's angry reply, Lionstar called, "Let all cats old enough to hunt gather for a clan meeting!"

Ashstar looked at her kit return. "I think not!" she meowed, and rushed to him, licking his forehead and sniffing at him frantically. Typical mothers. "Are you okay?" she asked, worry edging her voice.
Scorchkit and Smogkit peered out of the nursery, their eyes glowing.

Snakestar hissed.
"It is time for four new apprentices. Foxkit, Tigerkit, Smogkit, Scorchkit, please step forward." Lionstar meowed.
Tigerkit and Foxkit both stepped up.
"You have all reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. Scorchkit, you will now be known as Scorchpaw. Your mentor will be-"
"I would like to mentor this apprentice." Rowanstar meowed loudly.
"Very well. Scorchpaw, your mentor is Rowanstar." Lionstar continued. "Smogkit, you will now be known as Smogpaw. Your mentor is Cinderheart."
"....Tigerpaw, your mentor will be me." Lionstar finished. Foxpaw's mentor was Mossyfoot.

Ashstar sighed, and yowled out her newly apprenticed kit's names'. "Tigerpaw! Foxpaw! Scorchpaw! Smogpaw!"
Smogpaw's eyes glittered and he went forward to touch noses to is new mentor.
Scorchkit did the same, pleasure and pride beaming off of her pelt.
