Scorchpelt rolled her shoulders, and blinked. She watched as the Evening patrol went out, and padded out for her vigil.
Smogtail followed after her, flexing his claws.
Ashstar looked after them fondly, and turned away, frowning.
The cat yawned, and looked for a place to rest. It's rough pads seemed to mark the earth it stepped in.

Snakestar sniffed the air, suddenly scenting something faintly familiar. "Come on," he meowed, approaching the cat.

The cat continued on, and was unaware of the nearby patrol.

Snakestar led the patrol around some brambles, coming in view of the cat. His fur bristled as he recognized who it was. "Thorn." He snarled.

"Snakestar!" she gasped, surprised. Her fur was on end, and she sighed, ruffling it down.

Snakestar's eyes were blue fire. He lunged forward, pinning Thorn down with a vicious hiss.
"Did you expect me to treat you as if you weren't an intruder?" He dug his long claws into the shecat's shoulders, deep enough to draw blood. "Then you were very wrong."

"Listen, listen! I know I'm considered an intruder at the moment," she hissed. she growled as he drew her blood, and she felt her strength draining. "but I haven't come here to bring any harm. I've left Bloodclan," she rasped, making no attempt to escape.

Jag climbed up into the branches a tree, leaping to the next tree and digging his claws in for balance, then leaping to the next till he neared Thorn and the patrol.
"More like got kicked out," he muttered darkly, annoyed with Blitz for telling the warrior to leave.
