The apprentices let out a battle call, and they leapt on the two cats, three apprentices on each cats.

The medicine cat hadnt fought in a long time, but she had been trained as a warrior before. Iceclaw yowled and took a step back, then dove forwards, sliding under Thorntooth and driving her claws into her stomach, twisting them.
Shadefrost tore Marshtail off of Adderfang, throwing the tom down onto his back and slicing her claws from his throat down his stomach.
Thistlefur dug his claws into Dustleap's shoulders, flipping him onto his back and holding him down with his back claws, he slashed at his stomach repeatedly.
With the weight of Dustleap gone, Shadowthorn sliced his other paw's claws down Sunwhisker's muzzle.
Adderfang lunged for Ryetail while he was on the ground and she retrieved her jagged piece of broken glass, stabbing it into his stomach and twisting it.

Ryetail, being small, felt immense pain and agony. He kicked up his unsheathed claws, and shot back up, blood spurting as he dug his claws into her neck, then ripping them to the side, blood of Adderfang spilling out onto him.
Marshtail screamed in agony.
Dustleap snapped at his paws and once gotten aholdnof one, shook his head, blood gushing into his mouth.
Sunwhisker hissed, ears flat as he used his back paws to spring into the air, Shadowthorn instead hitting his eye.
Thorntooth let Iceclaw slide under her, and when her head popped out, she bit down viciously into her neck, then slamming her paws on her shoulders. "Playtime's over, kiddo! " she snarled through her neck fur.

Iceclaw roared in pain, then, she drove her claws into Thorntooth's throat, for she was still underneath her.
Adderfang began to cough up blood, tearing herself away from Ryetail. Blood spilling from her neck and pure rage burning in her gaze, she lunged forwards, driving her claws into his throat while biting down as hard as she could.
Snarling in anger, Shadefrost repeated the, twisting her claws as she went.
Thistlefur smacked Dustleap's nose, tearing his claws through the soft skin as he then leveled another swipe at his eyes.
With a vicious snarl, Shadowthorn twisted his claws, dragging them across Sunwhisker's eye.
Wolftooth dug his claws into the back of one of the apprentices, throwing the smaller cat across the clearing, then flipping onto his back to crush the two apprentices beneath him.
Jaggedflame dug his claws into the shoulder of another, throwing the cat onto the ground as slamming its head repeatedly into the earth. Then, copying Wolftooth, he flipped over, slamming the two apprentices onto the ground then crushing them under his bigger body.

They screeched, and quickly schrambled off them and repeated, biting more viciously this time.
Thorntooth choke more blood, and twisted her claws as they were lodged into her shoulders. She felt a small vein snap, and she thrust up her muzzle, tearing her neck then using her paws to thrownher across the clearing.
Ryetail gasped in air, and trew himself on the ground, kicking her with his hind legs. He could feel life spilling out, as well as his blood
Sunwhisker screamed as his eye was taken right out of it's socket, and crashed down onto Shadowthorn, biting furiously at him.
Marshtail was now dead. :I
Dustleap swiped at Thistlefur.
Thorntooth limped toward the nursery, not noticing Lightningstorm stalking her.

Iceclaw lay there for a second, momentarily stunned, then, thinking fast, she dragged herself over to Leopardstar. "Shadowclan, Thunderclan and Stormclan," she gasped, choking on blood. "They don't know. Use them to destroy Riverclan, then, once they are battle weary, slay them all!" She told her, speaking softly enough so no one would hear her.
Adderfang refused to let go and bit down harder, twisting her claws and tearing apart his throat. She could feel her life ebbing as blood spilled from the wounds in her throat.
Shadefrost yowled triumphantly and moved on, snatching up Twigpaw by the scruff and driving her claws into his stomach. "This isn't your fight," she snarled, throwing the apprentice aside as she dug her claws into Harepaw's tail, using her other paw to shred his back.
Shadowthorn roared in pain and twisted out of the way, using a large paw to slam Sunwhisker's face into the ground, shredding his back with his hind claws.
Thistlefur caught Dustleap's paw in his teeth and jerked backwards, yanking the tom off his paws and into the dust where Thistlefur then pinned him, biting down deep into his neck.

Dustleap let out a deafening screech.
The apprentices hissed. "It is our fight!" Fuzzypaw yowled, launching herself onto shadefrost and gnawing her spine.
Sunwhisker screeched, flailing about and landing random blows.
Ryetail could see more cats flooding the clearing...and they definitely didn't look like regular cats. Stars were in their pelts. He could recognize one...his mother. And one that looked almost exactly like himself...wait, that was him!
Thorntooth hobbled to the dirtplace exit, Lightningstorm following.
Lilypool, the medicine cat, was collecting herbs outside of camp.

Flattening his ears, Thistlefur bit down harder, lifting Dustleap's head and driving his claws into his throat.
Shadefrost snarled, flipping onto her back to crush Fuzzypaw, then pinning the she-cat down with one massive paw, claws sheathed. "Then you can die like the rest of your clan!" She snarled, unsheathing her claws and driving them deep into the apprentices belly, twisting them and tearing at her stomach and throat.
Shadowthorn avoided most of the blows, then, bleeding from several wounds, he bit down hard into the back of his neck, driving his claws home from the front as well.
Adderfang twisted her claws one last time, seeing the light fading in Ryetail's eyes. Finally, she let go, staggering backwards and shaking out her fur, scattering droplets of blood everywhere as she leapt at Cloudpaw, landing squarely on the apprentices shoulder. Hearing a crack, Adderfang leapt off of him, slamming his head into the ground a few times, her strength ebbing.

Lilypool saw the bloodied warrior, and gasped. "What's going on?!" She asked.
Thorntooth was about to reply when Lightningstorm hissed, revealing his presence. "Don't you dare--I will not let you collect your nine lives, vixen!" He growled.
"Skystream never announced her deputy! " Thorntooth rasped. "In her dying breath, she attempted to voice your name, without making it obvious."
Lilypool looked confused. "What's been happening? "
"The apocalypse--My son, you would do my proud if you leave your dying mother to die. I cannot lead a dead clan--I'm growing insane already. I've twice seen Ashstar in the clearing..."
Lightningstorm sighed, confliction sparking his gaze. "Do what's right," he said to himself. "Make...mother...proud." He launched himself at Thorntooth, grasping the she-cat and quickly ripping her right eye out. Thorntooth screamed- and Lilypool turned away at the sight.
Thorntooth panted.
"Leave...save yourself. Recieve your nine lives...the moonpool isn't far. Lilypool, take care of my mother. Heal her wounds along the way. Carry her." He slipped away into camp, holding the eye.
Lilypool looked to the pilenof supplies she had collected. First, she placed the cobwebs on her wounds, then putting marigold. Being a pretty strong, but delicate cat, she hefted Thorntooth onto her back and scampered to the way to the moonpool. The dying she-cat clung onto Lilypool by hooking her claws into her fur.

Iceclaw looked up, hearing Thorntooth's unearthly screech. Then, her gaze fell on Lightningstorm, then the eye.
