The dog struggled to get Leopardpaw off, snarling and spitting. Finally it gave up and started instead to charge at Sagepaw.
Leopardpaw bared her teeth, her claws tearing through the dog's pelt. She then locked her jaws around the dog's neck, hoping to end it quickly.

Sagepaw hissed loudly, and lunged at the creature's throat. Her eyes were a burning flame, and her claws were extended as far as she could extend them.
Crowflight froze in her tracks as she saw the apprentices. Maybe they could kill the dog as part of their test.

Hawkstar was returning from getting his nine lives. He had not gotten them from StarClan- for the starry ancestors had not accepted BloodClan into the forest. The Dark Forest and the Shadow Realm had given him lives instead.
The tabby padded into the clearing with the dog, his eyes narrowed as he watched the two apprentices.

The dog yelped with fear as he saw Sagepaw. He fell to the ground, Leopardpaw's teeth digging into his bone. The large canine quickly started to die.

She growled. "Don't touch my sister," she hissed, and stared the dog in the eye as she saw it die.
Sagepaw looked to Hawkstar, her paws bloody. "Hello, Hawkstar." she dipped her head to her father.

Badger glanced over at Heronwing, noticing how she was eyeing his collar. He had kept it when Bloodclan had moved to the forest, feeling as if it was the only piece of his former home he had left. He somehow felt...Connected to it...The memory made him sigh.
