"Leopardpaw is the new deputy of BloodClan." Hawkstar meowed, giving both his daughters a nod. "We must return to camp and tell the news. These cats will both receive their names. Come."
The large tabby led the cats back to the BloodClan camp. He immediately went to where the ShadowClan leader would have called a meeting and jumped up. "Let all cats gather to hear the name of the new deputy!"

Winterfur, always a heavy sleeper, didn't wake up to hear the name.
Shepherd twitched an ear as he approached camp. He started racing to return.
Thistletail also heard the call and turned away from the snake. The new distraction had him running back to camp.

Amberflame and Heronwing padded into the clearing, Amberflame walking a bit dazed, and looked up anxiously to see who would be the deputy.
Crowflight yawned, drowsily walking to the crowd of cats.
Sagepaw smiled. She wasn't going to be deputy, and she wasn't going to have an apprentice- but she would at least get her warrior name.

Badger walked into camp and gathered in the crowd of cats facing Hawkstar.

"Cats of BloodClan, as some of you may know, this is the first time I will be having a ceremony as your leader. I am proud of you all." Hawkstar meowed, his voice emotionless. He took a breath. "Leopardpaw, Sagepaw, step forward. Do you both promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your lives?"

Shepherd slid into camp moments before Thistletail. They both trotted over to the assembly of cats.

Sagepaw stepped up, and puffed out her chest, eyes glowing. "I do."

Leopardpaw nodded. "I do."
"Then by the powers of The Shadow Realm, I give you your warrior names. Sagepaw, from this moment you will now be known as Sagefeather. BloodClan honors your endurance and courage, and we welcome you as a full warrior."
Leopardpaw purred for her sister, but was very excited for her own name.
"Leopardpaw, from this moment you will be known as Leopardfang. BloodClan honors your strength and wisdom, and we welcome you as a full warrior.
The cats cheered. "Sagefeather, Leopardfang, Sagefeather, Leopardfang!"
Hawkstar raised his tail for silence. "I would like to name a new apprentice as well."
Stoneclaw and Redfoot padded forward, their one kit, Silverkit, in front of them with wide eyes.
"Silverkit will now be known as Silverpaw, and Leopardfang will be her mentor." Hawkstar grinned at the little silver she-kit, who forced a nervous grin back. Leopardfang and Silverpaw touched noses and Hawkstar continued.
"Now, I say these words before The Shadow Realm, so that Thistletooth may hear and approve my choice. Leopardfang will be the new deputy of BloodClan."
