Windclan had come late. Ashstar lead her cats with strong, forced, and proud strides. Her strong build seemed more frail due to her lack of youth.
Sagfeather padded unto the Island with the other cats.

Tigerstar padded over to Foxstar, Hawkstar, Ashstar, and Ivystar to greet them.
Suddenly RiverClan's deputy, Leafwing, shrieked. "Dog!"
The Clan cats whipped toward her to see a massive black and brown dog with hateful eyes jumping onto the fallen tree log.
Leafwing launched herself in front of the dog, rearing up and hitting it with well-aimed strikes.
The dog bared it's fangs, drool pouring from its mouth. It sprang at Leafwing, jaws meeting in her throat. It flung her to the side and went for another cat.
Foxstar's green eyes narrowed with fury. "RiverClan, attack!"
Brackenclaw jumped onto the dog's back, digging in to its neck.

Tigerstar wasn't going to let Foxstar fight alone. "ShadowClan, attack!"
"ThunderClan, attack!" Ivystar snarled, lunging at the dog.

The dog's black eyes widened as he saw just how many cats were actually on the island. He fell to the side, knocking Brackenclaw off, then scrambled to his paws to run.
Foxstar was blocking the way for the dog. "You killed my kit!" She screamed, charging forward.
The massive dog snarled, raising a paw for the attack.
"Foxstar, no!" Tigerstar yowled. The large tabby shot infront of his sister, knocking her away.
The dog slammed his paw down on Tigerstar's back.

Ashstar watched with horror. "No!" she wailed, and looked to her cats. "Windclan, attack!" she yowled. The ancient she-cat made an attempt to run at the dog, her yellow teeth bared.

Foxstar's green eyes suddenly widened with fear as she looked at Tigerstar.
The dog ran for the fallen tree, sprinting over it.
