Hawkpaw wailed as she glanced back to the advancing Leopard, and made a desparate attempt to jump out of the tree or into another one.

Leopard followed, her teeth snapping at Hawkpaw's tail.

Pinefoot was stalking a squirrel when he heard Hawkpaw's yowls. The young warrior's eyes narrowed and he spotted Leopard chasing the StormClan apprentice through the trees.
"Invasion!" He yowled.

Hawkpaw yelped as Leopard caught ahold of her tail, then letting out a warning yowl to confirm what Pinefoot yowled.
Shrewtooth narrowed his eyes, getting to his paws as he heard his brother yowl.
Silverwing shoved Leopard after catching up with them, teeth bore in a snarl. "Leave my apprentice alone!"

Leopard's claws kept her in place. She then reared up, using both paws to slam Silverwing off the branch.
Pinefoot growled, leaping into the tree.

Ash entered the territory, her long legs and thin structure allowing her to run as fast as a WindClan cat. She quickly caught onto the scent of her mother, and eventually spotted the chase.
Pinefoot jumped toward Leopard, but was suddenly grabbed from behind and flung to the ground.
Ash pinned her victim to the ground, teeth bared. She placed her claws on Pinefoot's throat. "StormClan will be destroyed."

Hawkpaw hissed, then trying to whip around at Leopard and trying to free her tail.
Silverwing, with a snarl, was knocked off. She landed on all fours, and sprang upward, trying to get back into the tree.

Suddenly, the ground started to shake violently.
Leopard flipped off the branch, her teeth tearing through Hawkpaw's tail. She landed on the ground.
The ground started to open like a mouth, tearing apart and revealing a ravine. Trees nearby made a sucking noise in the ground as they fell.
Ash fell away from Pinefoot and rolled toward the tear in the earth, which was pitch black. Her body tipped off the side, and the BloodClan cat yowled with fear.
Her claws scraped on the stony earth as she desperately tried to save herself.
Pinefoot stayed on his feet, claws holding him in place.
Ash's wide blue eyes met her rivals. "Pinefoot, help me!"
The StormClan cat watched Ash struggle, her paws, the only thing keeping her from disappearing to her death, getting closer and closer to the edge. Finally Pinefoot jumped forward, landing on Ash's paws. He pulled, helping the cat back onto the surface.

Silverwing's eyes widened, and she stepped a few paces back, panic in her eyes. She looked toward her apprentice, who made a mad dash away from the ravine.
Hawkpaw panted, feeling pain sting in her tail. She was relieved to see Shrewfoot racing toward them, but fear struck her as the Stormclan cat was nearing the tear. "Shrewfoot, look out!" she cried,

Leopard lunged at Silverwing, twisting in the air so that she was belly up. The BloodClan leader slid underneath Silverwing's stomach and kicked out, sending her enemy flying towards the ravine.
(If you haven't guessed yet, it's an earthquake)
Ash and Pinefoot sat next to eachother, panting.

(I know. I have been reading Survivors and this reminded me of the big growl.  ) Silverwing snarled, trying to stop herself from sliding into the ravine, claws slowing her down as she was almost at the edge. Shrewfoot stopped himself as he saw his mother sliding towards the gash in the earth, now aware of the danger. |
