Smogpaw bristled in excitement, while Scorchpaw held the same excitement inside. Something tugged at her fur, and she shook it off.
Nearing the territory, a dark brown figure slipped through the blades of grass.

Tigerpaw lifted his chin. Foxpaw grinned at her mentor.
"We shall have it in camp, for every cat to see. If the Clan approves, you will be made warriors. Tigerpaw will be paired with Scorchpaw, and Smogpaw with Foxpaw. Your goal is to pin the other cat into submission. Begin."
Snakestar sat next to Ashstar, purring.
Tigerpaw looked at his sibling rival through narrowed blue eyes. He kept his claws sheathed, and lunged forward viciously, slamming into Scorchpaw.
Foxpaw turned toward Smogpaw.

She purred back, watching her kits.
Scorchpaw prepared for the impact, and huffed. She kicked him with sheathed hind claws, and slitted her eyes.
Smogpaw launched himself at Foxpaw, making sure to keep his claws sheathed as he battered her side.
Blood trailed behind the figure, an it pushed farther and closer into Lionclan territory.

Tigerpaw bared his fangs, leaping on top of her shoulders and biting her neck lightly.
Foxpaw snarled, fluffing up her pelt to look twice her size. She bowled the other apprentice over.

Scorchpaw growled, and pushed herself to the side, trying to roll herself over to knock him off before he could press harder into her shoulders.
Smogpaw hissed, and swatted her. He bit at her forepaw as he tussled with his opponent.
The cat heard the faint yapping of a dog, and the whinnying of horses, but kept trailing forward.

Tigerpaw jumped the other way, landing neatly on four paws before taking advantage of her on the ground, pinning her down.
Foxpaw backed away, lashing out again.
Snakestar watched. The cats had already passed the assessment in his eyes.

She glared up at him, and struggled to escape his grip. Figuring she couldn't, she shrank down, accepting Tigerpaw's victory.
Smogpaw winced as she struck him, and attempted to knock her down. He thought of trying to use the strength in his shoulders this time.

Foxpaw flipped onto the ground with a hiss.
Tigerpaw stepped off his sister and then say down next to her to watch his other siblings fight.
