Crowflight nodded and started padding over to Mapleheart's body. Grabbing the body gently by the scruff, she was careful not to damage her neck further.

Sagepaw glanced to the camp entrance, ruffling her pelt as she saw the patrol. She froze when she saw Mapleheart's body. Her eyes were full of horror.
Amberflame and Heronwing started whispering.
Crowflight padded alongside Hawkfur.

Hawkfur stopped in the middle of camp, letting his sister's body gently fall to the ground.
Ivystar padded forward, horror filling her gaze. "What happened?" She demanded immediately.
"Badger." Tigerstar meowed.
Jaggedpaw, Otterpaw, and Beechpaw, Mapleheart's younger siblings, ran forward, their eyes wide.

Shadowthorn and Adderfang followed silently, their heads bowed.
Shadefrost looked at Mapleheart's body for a moment, grief filling her gaze, then she turned and stalked away, hiding among the shadows, her pelt blending in.
