Thistlefur, Adderfang, Shadowthorn, Shadefrost, Wolftooth and Iceclaw dipped their heads, their eyes dark.

Hawkstar jumped on the highledge beside Tigerstar. "It is also time to announce my Deputy and Medicine Cat as well." He meowed loudly.
The TigerClan cats fell silent.
"Iceclaw, you are the best choice for Medicine Cat. I would be honored for you to guide me in my leadership." Hawkstar looked at the she-cat through blue eyes.

Hawkstar looked at the BloodClan cats.
"This is a difficult decision to make." He meowed calmly. "I know, from my time in BloodClan and my father's teachings, that the cat next in line for leadership must have royal blood."
Tigerstar glanced at his son, ears pricked.
Hawkstar's blue eyes landed on Sagepaw and Leopardpaw. "I would like to have a competition between my daughters. They both carry my blood. Whoever wins will be my deputy and will receive their warrior names. The winner will also receive Stoneclaw and Redfoot's kit as an apprentice." (I made new cats for BloodClan)

Lightningstorm pricked his ears, then a memory made him growl. When Python was to return from assassinating Reedstar, he had planned on making his brother a Superior or a Commander. He never thought of another cat to name as one close to leadership as himself. He glared icily at Shadefrost.
Crowflight blinked.
