Frecklewish looked outside from her den.
Egg climbed onto the branch and looked down at the assembled.
"Today is the day a new deputy is chosen." He began, blinking his blue eyes. "I say these words before the body of Shrewtooth, so that his spirit may hear and approve my choice. Sageleaf will be the new deputy of SkyClan."

"I'm afraid we haven't met." He snarled. "Do you know who I am?"
