Heronwing skidded to a stop, turning to face her pursuer. Her fangs were already half the normal size.

Redeye followed them. He flopped down on the ground and smiled.

Blackheart and Bracken slowed down, then came to a stop.
Other Fire Cats were patrolling, they looked up to see their leader, their eyes wide.
A cream she-cat with a white muzzle, paws and underbelly padded forward, her red eyes gleaming. "Everything alright? I see you have two new cats."
"Yes, Cream." Bracken dipped his head to the she-cat. "We're fine."

Cream padded over to the tom and sniffed his stomach. "That's bad. It could become infected. Come to my den, I'll make you a poultice. You won't be able to do your normal duties, I'm afraid."
